Each class is 60 minutes long and consists of strength and conditioning training. Barbells, dumbbells, resistance bands, sleds, RowERGs, SkiERGS, Air-Bikes and more are incorporated into the programming to help you become a well-rounded athlete.

What is MRT Optimal Fitness?

MRT Optimal Fitness is a strength-based group fitness gym focused on high-energy, results-driven workouts in a fun and supportive community. We combine strength training, conditioning, and team spirit to help you feel and perform your best. MRT stands for Metabolic Resistance Training.

I’m new—how do I get started?

The best way to start is with our 7-day free trial or our 2 weeks for trial. Come meet the coaches, try the workouts, and see if it’s the right fit for you.

Do I need to be “in shape” to join?

Nope! Our workouts are designed for all fitness levels. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, our coaches scale everything to meet you where you’re at.

What are your membership options?

We offer several membership options starting at 9/month. You can choose from our 12, 6, 3 or month to month options. All come with unlimited access, anytime Inbody Testing, amazing coaches and an awesome Member Tee. 

What's the workout like?

Every session combines full body strength training and conditioning in a group format. We rotate training focuses weekly to keep things fresh and build a well-rounded base of fitness.

How big are the classes?

Our group classes typically range from 10–20 people. You’ll get the energy of a group with plenty of individual coaching and attention. We do not place caps on classes and manage a comfortable flow in our space. 

Do you offer personal or small group training?

Yes! We offer small group strength training (1–4 people) for those who want more individualized programming focused on hypertrophy, strength, or power. These options are aside from the Larger Group Classes. Inquire with a coach if interested.

What kind of results can I expect?

Members typically see noticeable improvements in strength, energy, and confidence within the first 4–6 weeks. Many also report better sleep, mood, and consistency with workouts.

What do I need to bring to class?

Just athletic wear, water, and a great attitude! We provide all equipment and coaching.

Where are you located?

We are located on Kreinhop Rd/Ella Blvd in a newly built facility. We sit right behind the J&J Nursery and Fire Station, right up the street from Klein Collins. This allows us to be positioned for convenience to our Tomball, Spring, The Woodlands/Creekside and Klein members.

How do I track progress or check in?

We track attendance and check-ins through our MRT Optimal Fitness app. Your coaches will help guide progress and performance over time.

How do I sign up and book classes?

You can register by clicking in the top right hand corner of our website. Once you’re registered, you’ll be able to book classes easily through our app or member portal. We do encourage booking, however, it is not required.

This session is built to target posterior chain power and glute development. You'll lead with heavy conventional deadlifts—working through compound sets to build total-body strength—then transition into glute-dominant accessory work including barbell hip thrusts, RDLs, and banded isolations.

Expect:

  • Progressive deadlift sets (conventional, sumo, or trap bar)

Total Body Push (Chest • Shoulders • Quads • Glutes)
Focus: Pressing Strength • Lower Body Power • Full-Body Stability

This session combines upper and lower push movements—training both the ability to press and to drive force through the floor. We focus on squats, lunges, push-ups, and overhead pressing, while reinforcing core stability, proper posture, and safe movement mechanics. Great for developing strength, coordination, and confidence across the entire anterior side of the body.

  • Strength training with bodyweight and resistance tools (e.g., barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, sleds)

This session follows a PHA (Peripheral Heart Action) training format—alternating between upper and lower body compound lifts to maximize efficiency and elevate muscular endurance under load.

Focus: Posterior Chain Strength • Pull Mechanics • Core Control

This session targets the entire backside of the body—from the upper back and arms to glutes and hamstrings. Kids learn how to hinge, row, and carry with control and confidence. We emphasize posture, scapular stability, and developing balanced strength to support both athletic performance and injury prevention.

Prepare for the ultimate test of strength, endurance, and grit. This HYROX-style session blends barbell and bodyweight strength with functional conditioning to push your performance to the next level.

Expect:

  • Sled pushes + pulls

  • Wall balls, burpee broad jumps, lunges

  • Sandbag work, ski/row intervals, farmer carries

  • Movement prep + strength-focused skill work

  • Coach-led pacing and technique adjustments

This is race-prep intensity with strength-programmed structure.
